INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4
Reason for optimism is leapfrogging - thats when a society/place that was excluded from industrial age networks leapfrogs an old system to a new one; about a third of the world never had wired telephone lines, now almost all have mobile (text version); more than a quarter of the world never had electricity grids, now microsolar is linking in;. day 5

oh lucky man - off to baltimore today after debriefing of how china would like to help the world at brookings, washington dc
..............................when it comes to valuing the millennial generation let alone women or or black americans or southern hemisphere including latin americans, washington dc is the most maddening place to be except when you are in a space called brookings, particularly one modereated either by their education or china director of scholarship - thanks also to brookings former president bill antholis or DC alumni of pope francis such as jim yomg kim>-across what leonsis calls supercity baltimore-dc there's only one schooling and college system that I feel joyful in - its in west baltimore - about 30 years before Mahatma Gandhi was thrown out of a first class train in s.africa, 4 young black ladies were thrown out of a cruise liner - fortunately the legal case they sought decide black americans were people not belongings- they built a community, church and a university with the compensation- yes there have been zigs and zags; their first zag was destroyed in the baltimore fire and instead of rebuilding on the prime site downtown the governor required they move to west baltimore; this open space became thurgood marshall's hub; baltimore's superport went into decline; but the baptist faith and union schooling system has a spirit that is probably only emulated in my searches by franciscans in rome and taoist quarterbilliongirls in china and their friends in empowering village bangladesh -love to hear where you recommend linking in such loving belief in education's worldpossible
