david thanks for your/coquora inspiring presentation which I reattach -if only we were all boulder-based -peter burgess may remember meeting the bbc's most urgent climate crisis broadcaster (he knows as he's spent a lot of time in north ;pole) - paul only just survived british schooling as he shares with us in this new york meeting

please tell us if your diary is passing new york or baltimore or boston- 3 spaces that I can usually get a quick quorum of people who know that schooling is a completely bust system
as far as i am concerned a lead indicator of a system for any age group 9 and over being bust is if it doesnt allocate at least 10% of time and far more assessment value to empowering children to brainstorm or do collaborations around projects they have helped to observe as needed in the school or if its safe in the surrounding community
whilst i would like to get to a world of schools where everyone has had a chance to learn to code i would first prefer chance for teaching kids how the second they leave school they can assemble their own conversation circle and do something
if anyone thinks they know of a school in america that does already permit this i would love to go and visit it -maybe we reserve one blog for reports on such schools if anyone else gets what I am trying to dare any parent to take back on behalf of their kids
david if for example you are in new york i can introduce you to daniel and friends- he has a college in a city in china ready and waiting for 1000 undergraduates to visit in for 6 months- why not make the first day of induction at that college an open space
if you are near baltimore then dr al hathaway still hasnt seen a real open space
its not that its open space or nothing - for example there's a great looking series of hacking books here including how to hack grades
where can we get started everyone?
