INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4 : our goodHUBSguide awards for 2020 startupgrind and zoomuni- started in london 2005 year of make poverty history hubbers thank klaus schwab for extending a week long skiing for leadership hunt to 4 cities linking in humansai- san framcisco, tokyo, beijing, delhi- it was a pity that those who met at san francisco in 1945 chose one way to un just the atlantic belt roads not asia pacific beltroads too- after all two thirds of humans live on the asian continent and it was the british english mindset which trspun slavery and povery traps across the old world- born to a scottish veteran who served his last days as a teen i would exist without the kindness of americans stopping the old world from 2 global wars but that doesnt mean enough americans understood diversity of colred skinned original continents of asia or africa in 1945 -any un curriculum in american schools needed to connect california with maps of asia, west asia landbridge to africa not just the vanities of the western g6 representing less than 10% of people lives- these inequalities were an accident of how the first 18 decades of humans and machines spread- if only what glasgow u's watt and smith started up in 1760s had spread as efficiently as nature's virus- this is a terminal reminder that man's globalisation is broken wherever it fails exinction-testing rules of bottom-up and open not trumpian top down and bordered

Main reason for optimism is leapfrogging - thats when a society/place that was excluded from industrial age networks leapfrogs an old system to a new one thanks to 1000 times more COMstech than 1946; about a third of the world never had wired telephone lines, now almost all have mobile (text version); more than a quarter of the world never had electricity grids, now microsolar is linking in;. Prior to 2017 only Jim Kim open spaced this debated in DC: let's hope all parents and youth do now from usa to china to Rome, from Scotland to Argentina, from Bangalore to Haiti. from . G1 G2. Even as the 1960s moon race inspired the world, we need to understand how unequal the opporttunity to innovate had been - even in the 1960s as many as half the world's people had no access to electricity grids so they got their news of the moon race by word of mouth.

Consider 1000-1500- until the last few years of this period , the known world was Europe-Asia and NE Africa; #BR8 the med sea was the main world trade waterway; places facing this sea increasingly developed win-win trades; moreover #BR7 the west asian border to med sea was the start of an amazing overland relay of traders which stretched all the way to china (the silk road was the greatest overland world trade route ever and to sustain its interfacing markets required positive cross-cultural bridging all along its route. Silks and spices from the Chinese end acted like a positive currency- there was much demand for them whose value naturally went up the further they were merchanted back to Europe. Everyone gained for this trading route- you can read marco polo's diaries- perhaps nowhere invested more in artistic celebrations of being a major hub of positive trade than his hometown venice in europe and the town he was asked to govern for 2 years in china Hangzhou which marco described as the great town of markets in the world.)

What happened towards 1500 that 2 long shipping routes were discovered by north europeans- the new world of the ameriucas to the west (#BR6 N, #BR10 what we now call Latin America), and a way of reaching the @BR2 South Asian coastal Belt (starting with the indian subcontinent) by sailing around africa. A ship captain couldnt affird such a long return voyage unless he goit what trade he wanted- soon this big ships were equipped with gun power and crews were pressganged or even enslaved. Next in the process was colonising. So it was that nations became big by pludering economies of other peoples places. Back in 1500 places economic size was corelated with population. Soon Britain grew at the expense particularly of the Indian subcontiuent. Mainly Britain and France colonised Africa too, Spain andPotrtugal colonised Latin America. North America was settled by a mixyure of Europeans whose declaration of Indendence in 1776 ended any attempt by Britain to colonise America, But we should note that the USA was built on a sort of internal colonisation - natives had theor places taken over and slaves were used to do most of the hard labour. In effect the old war's colonial ways casued the 2 world wars of the fkirst half of the 20th C. From 1946 most of the world's countries regained their independence but starting from (mainly undeveloped states - poverty that the colonia era had gtraped them in).

Ironically whule the UDA came to tghe resuce of the old workld and from 1946 helped relaunch the two biggest losers of world war 2 Germsny and Japan, american (not withstandiong thair family trees origins) had previously had little modern of knowledge of Eurasia but were pulled into peacekeeping and the cold war with russia through the sceond half of the 20th C. Whilst there was some understanding of the extraoerdinary progress japanese enginers made with electornics, civil and other enginnering, the rise and rise of the east and the often difficult bodrers that had been caused by British and Jpoanese colonisation of the region are not deeply studied by most Americans or their media. It should be the best news the world has ever seen that the fifth of the world in chjna tghat closed itself to the world for more than a centiry after Brfits has offered opium as a gtrading currency in 1860 is now as entrepreneurial as anywhere. With over half of tghe world's ;people facikng either the sout asia or east asia coastal belts, the opportunity the east is cfreating to win0pwin gtrade oin line with moore's ever increasing technology should make sustainable youth worlwdie the gfreatesty positive curency-invetsment the human race has ever mapped. But this is not how USA or the block of coungtriues ruled by the Euro have marketed transapfrently. Instead we are caught in the Keynsian crisis of economist not valuing the hippocratic oathes he had published as tghe final chapter of the ngeneral throy of employment money and interest. The 2020s are likely to make the system designs our tech spreads irreversible- will the end game be big brother extinction or little sister sustainability?

king you asked for examples of mit youtube pitches

notes -mit permits 90 seconds (i would prefer 60 - after all most ads are 20)- across 40 countries i spent 15 years of my life on mit coordinated program testing adverts in second by second executional detail; what pros call vampire video effect- longer a pitch the harder it is to convert- as ian ryder can testify i originated the genre of valuing corporate leadership teams round conscious purposes; everyone now believes they are expert at personal video communications- this is compete nonsense ad agencies often spend up to  billions dollars to own the way your mind sides with one identity versus another= this is a most non transparent process and ultimately explains how the west has lost integrity in so many ways

of course in real open spaces of thousands of people pitching/storytelling skill is extremely influential however much it should be used over the 3 days to include every voice- as jim kim says the understanding of sustained social movements is barely taught anywhere  The GG Book of World Record Job Creators obama was an absolute disaster because many of us assumed he knew how social movements are brand seeded whereas he turned out to be blackish intellectual opposite; I imagine he is a kind/honorable man but note how the most disadvantaged black communities were ultimately the biggest losers of his reign - south chicago has lost shorebank and sounds to be going down- all the more reason why baltimore's time in future history is NOW: become the paradigm of girl social justice inner cities up and up if anywhere in usa can ever be

most of the pitches easiest to find at youtube are presented at the finale that happens at end of month 2 of mit class year- however before that students are literally encouraged to try and vitalise their pitches all across boston ecosystem for 8 weeks (not just finale them on stage)

I strongly recommend that baltimore becomes the conscious pitch capital of the world and the big data small apps labs of east coast silicon belt ( that story should have been presented by a maryland delegation to beijings biggest summit of the year one belt forum may 14 attended by jim kim , the head of the UN, but not inferiority complex and visa imprisoned maryland- how can we catalyse supercities and sustainability world if our local place ;leaders in usa never turn up at the biggest place revolution summits planet earth will ever see

Astronaut Ron Garan poses massive collaboration challenge ( more )
- its time mackey was asked to sponsor a baltimore value systems lab bottom up- he could then ask the 2000 student unions top ;pitch in time to linking the road to franciscan g20 argentina- if al his theory isnt franciscan then maybe his life's work on nutrition is going nowhere - if people study the

the person whose knowhow i recommend girls look at first sir fazle abed you will see he won the world food prize, he is more borlaug than borlaug in impact of ending starvation -he's more farmer than farmer in scaling bottom up health services especially maternal and first 1000 days of infants -that why brac university program is called james grant public health school - how do we hook up leana wen

, its a real pity that rome houses the UN's main food distribution networks but they dont talk to young franciscans nor to the club of rome organisers of peace and green summits- stephanos peter and found that out when intel hosted a blessed food event un 2014

by which i mean: develop ways of getting 60 second ;pitches from the street or by any youth working around us as well as 60 second pitches on what goes on at each of the 20 Juice-smartspace labs or could go on in finding what a perfect collection of 20 smartspace labs is- blessed be

host weekly 60 minute conscious girls ted salon as near to original downtown site that the 4 black girls of 1881 started america's who social justice movements @

invite inner city mayors or colleges to send us pitches - making it clear we want to collaboratively celebrate the best pitches around the world- send amy out to colleges around usa inviting them to twin with baltimore and beijing and bangladesh

i will increasingly try and link this in wherever i have placed rachel- we will use whatever stages have cyclical youth debriefs- clearly china has revolutionised the g20 in this regard and i so hope that baltimore becomes one of the incubators or celebration cities of what solutions get presented at g20 argentina - this is the peak opportunity for franciscan cultures to celebrate their goal 11  solutions (how these are aligned to social justice cities and indeed jim kim cites given this early young profession challenge jim kim launched) Are You Ready to Take It On? End Poverty by 2030

jim kim also employs a cute filipino 60 second youtube director -smart though she is -not supported by the rest of the world bank

as you know my simplest advice to any educator responsible for youth futures is connect your youth with chinese youth every which way; so I am looking at every way that sharing ;pitches can help do this - the consequence not just being winning solutions but student curiosity exchanges and clarification of missing peer to peer curricula

I would welcome particular teams in baltimore commenting on this:
team i tech wizards if jayfus and jose
team 2 you and all who may be sponsoring the 20 labs
team 3 whose are number 1 expert in big data small -if thats not one of your top 5 labs then you'll never translate into jack ma language and you will mis contributing to happiness and healthly olympics his main 3 year plan -that would be a shocking waste of mikos lees energy and where under armor ought to be upfront and central

of course other teams can be formed (with help of al's friends and this of rosa parks lawyers and tuskegee mayor thence ted turner and jimmy carter) :  americas black pro=youth community leaders

or the world leaders of celebrating franciscan cultures or girl empowerment leaders let alone teams representing sectors baltimore aims to be world class conscious leaders on
sporting apparel music arts
education for livelihoods
conscious property
catalyst for supercity -linking every conscious hub with every tech wzard hub - eg leonsis and steve cases 1776 movement or brazilian chiense 500 women startups -

the lab that catalyses supercity fits complete;y with every one belt forum (the conversation opener of xi jinping every time he meets a national leader and which jack ma is his chief virtual mentor on) -  it only needs one chinese girl in residence to translate xi jinpings main innovation and language for celebrating 1 collaboration across places and linking the interactions of kissingers 100 most valued chinese americans , 2  infrstructure investments needed so that nowhere is cut off for 21st C small enterprise trade the way a third of te world was by industrial revolution 1

as i should clarify its taken 3 years of constant translation between amy's chinese teams, maurice vatican teams, various other girl empowerment networkers especially bangladesh, various hbuc pitching contests and my friends (tech wizards, china conectirs) to tacitly understand how huge this open process can be if baltimore and maryland integrate it everywhere we outreach space that provides an alternative view of america's purpose to trump bowling alone- TIMING IS THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY- there's not another visa second to waste

others may be better at explaining this than I am ( I am still desperately trying to find ways to following kissingers advice that ultimately trump and jinping will go down as greatest or worst leaders ever - obviously that is tricky - jinping family (especially wife peng and daughter) start from being one i admire as the most gracious first family in the world - contrast that with trump's family I dont understand except that for 33 years now dad and i have argued use reality tv programs wisely!!! its not that much of a shock to me that the west now finds itself led by reality tv presidents- indeed its where media has been designed to go -anyone who doesnt get that cant possibly make the correct decision needed for whole truth youth trust networks

nb the data point to be conscious of is we are now spending 1000 times more on borderless communications technologies than 1946 - any institution legislated in mid 20th c or earlier needs total transformation if it is expected to empower goodwill among global under 30s let alone sustain their livelihoods;;; anyone who is not prepared to open space that issue honestly is blind to how big (how antisocial media) our leadership system crises are in west;

obvious;ly i would hope that baltimore ends up choosing one of its top 20 labs for the future of youth as all about how video ads viralise - how do we get non-trivial pursuits to be celebrated instead of the crap that  tops daily youtube charts or twittering classes

it can be argued that china's media policy - the way it took 14 years to  vet just 3 huge internet companies - is trying to keep chinese joy of youth free of the western tv media virus though this is an argument that cant be culturally understood with out organsiing leadership exchanges to china; baltimore needs to decide it it wants to open space a china girls youth100 lab or not- maybe thats where we need to look for a chinese millionnaire who wants to use the same visa process as is building hopkins hotel
-baltimore is exponentially accelerating its property redevelopment across the city -
there's a special visa for chinese millionaire to invest in property- see the case of hopkins hotel
