Dear Fumiko and friends - beyond boys with rockets: a brave girls new year to all of us
Fumiko thank you for you summary of how we might find japanese leaders who most want to linkin to valuing girls futures as the leading change agents of the sustainability generation, communities for all and jobs-rich education
These are my recommendations from 55 years of observations of how japan started something completely different in the east than western colonisation and carbon driven economies which soon became the chinese diaspora's passion so that by 1975 the usa remained the largest old economy but the 2nd and 3rd wealthiest financial networks were japan and china diaspora; china diaspora then merged with mainland china and the rest is the happiness future of all of us -see footnote
CELEBRATING JACK MA TOKYO 2020: OLYMPIANS & COMMUNITY FOR ALL YOUTH MOVERS
the simplest starting point for this is to Fringe the olympics round an expo of all great communities for all organisations; the special olympics hq in DC is one; it works in may thousand communities; where it works it creates community spaces and extends experiential learning beyond the classroom,
thorkil networks creating million jobs for youth with autism is another communities for all project- where some employer in a place takes on the responsibility for creating autism jobs they are also changing that society's view of people with autism
Camille Zamora and Monica Yunus www.singforhope.org gets so far 600 stars of music to adopt a piano and its placement in a poor hospital or community with a year round schedule of local activities; she has done this across all new york suburbs- shes ready t scale in any city which wants to bring back celebration of the arts to every por community
open space usa-china needs to extend to tokyo -dont know how dont know when
therefore proposal 1 - get every student union or mentor of youth to catalogue communities for all projects - start briefing koike on them in time for her to make sure jack ma knows tokyo will help him organise this expo - now if koike isnt the right person for that we need all people who speak japanese and care to search out who is;
additionally if you do find the right person to make sure the communities for all expo helps jack ma, lets make sure that extetiles for all is one of the networks that connects in
of course if you really want girls empowerment in every community you appoint sir fazle abed on the japan council in charge of all of the above; since the japan ambassador to dhaka and sir fazle already celebrated my fathers work for 4 hours in 2012 we know there are people at top of japan aid and diplomacy who will second that sir fazle needs to be involved; if you have him involved you have the whole of the wise education laureates summits including 7 laureates alumni networks from every hemisphere - new school movement s america, africa's free universities for poor students who want to be public servants, girls schools started by an english lady in zimbabwe as well as sir fazle in bangladesh and girls movements in the middle east
- WISE 3 next events including paris macron march 2019 mother of all western green education summits 2 months before beijings sceond belt road summit may 2019 and thats 2 months before Tokyo's G20- i assume japan is happy to co-lead green with china and france
Of course we are looking for japanese leaders who passionately stand something and do not just have a political position to chat about it - we need japanese leaders who wont be happy with their own life purpose unless they positively action a network that scales an unstoppable humanly valuable purpose (what else is education for?)-
the intangibles/trust-flow crisis process of supporting such courageous people is multidisciplinary and not well understood- its what 25 years of my friends' publications of valuing the most trustworthy organisations in the world are about as eg ian ryder and jack yan and jeff devlin and john caswell know- seriously you would not want to know what happened to the western academics in washington dc and brussels who valued this process in 2000 before blair and bush turned the english-speaking world in very dismal youth-girls-destroying directions
apart from states governors being the only people in usa who might value youth's 3 billion new jobs, I choose koike for 2 reasons which you have seen:
Koike is part of the education network which includes jack ma's purpose- half of all youth will be unemployable unless we take education outside the classroom- as you can see from this 1984 summary of education in 2024 friends of my father including gordon dryden have been working on that this last 33 year - any economist who doesnt is the enemy of youth; jack ma also advises the guterres panel that are staging wise @ the UN general assembly in sept 2018- this is seriously new yorks last chance of becoming a sustainability in vestment capital instead of epicentre of bad banking and post truth media (the term 2000 delegates at wise use); its a pity if chinas and bangladesh's open space girls storyteller is located at columbia u in new york this year but not linked in to wise@UNGA
however koike also made her own youtube for the education commission; it said that when she was a young teen there was only once curriculum which gvce her as a girl the self-confidence to imagine , want to change things - she called this zen' 00% of us in the west me included dont behaviorally understand in such details as how do zen confucianism, taoism etc overlap to be why the east can save youth's hyperconnected world and the west cannot- we need a khan academy or hujiang or andrew ng hundred million person class-space of this most vital pre-adolescent skill- as you may know jack ma's really big news of 2018 is a new 15 billion dollar investment in the 6 new technologies that need humanising like AI but he has called this dmao after a chinese spiritual leader
hold the thought of what do japanese leaders (citizen servants) want- the other question is which global2.0 summits are accelerating what and where is japan the crossroads of these summits
As this mail clarifies: the two things that I know japan controls collaboration around are the g20 july 2019 and the alibaba olympics in aug 2020
remember too that jack ma wouldnt exist at least with his current purpose without the leading japanese investor softbank - it would be good to know if he gets on with eg koike; he also wouldnt be relevant to all national leaders if jinping hadnt chosen jack ma to be master of ceremonies for china g20 inn 2016 ; jinping is extremely skillful in choosing which chinese supercities host what - few people know what these 4 cities uniquely do hangzhou, shenzhen, shanghai, beijing now that china has now celebrates 10000 youth startups each week- quite an entrepreneurial revolution for a nation that only had state capitalism in 1976
J.MA world record jobs creators number 3
at the start of 2017 jack ma announced his purpose of sponsoring the olympics
From english teacher to ecommerce market maker to happiness co-creator
tokyo is where and when he has promised himself he will change most of his leadership time from redeigning the purpose of consumer goods marjets to what he calls the happiness sectirs of sports, health, storytelling and green
at the end of the day olympics 2020 is the deadline for will the 4 great post-colonial economies of the east: japan china korea (diaspora china ie superports and connections across asean) lead the world back to the under 30s being the sustainability generation
these 4 markets have far more financial power than usa and the eu but havent organised their own systems to be independent of property crashes western banks always start as soon as the east is joyfully rising ( 1 japan bubble 80s, asean crisis 90s, world subprime crisis 2008) - fortunately jack ma's alipay, sir fazle abed's bkash and big data small tech wizards interest in japan's blockchain revolution offers a route beyond wall street and all the failed mba curricula that infest americas top universities
isnt it time in 2020 that china korea and japan got past whatever happened before 1945 -if dad could do so in 1960- if they dont extinction of our species is just about certain- you dont need all of 40 years of data on that to get on with whatever parts of the above some of the people circulated agree on- the deadlines for collaboration are tight; the japanese contingency to wise where all education possibilities of girl empowerment and valuing learning at refugee and other war zones was not that strong - maybe you can recognise some people that i cant (i am not claiming to be able to choose whos who in japan)
the good and the bad news is that while 2000 outstanding educators attended sheikha moza's wise and so inform guterres un eminent team, and most of these were form east or middle east, none attended from japan
so how do we brief whomever you choose koike on wise, and where on earth are japanese who most want =to value youth actually summiting - there are some clues from this list of what wise tries to study as japanese innovation to education
safe new year to all .. chris macrae washington dc world record jobs wechat usa 240 316 8157

I was very sorry to read in last week's "Economist" magazine of the death of Norman Macrae, who was its deputy editor for many years.
Norman Macrae was the first journalist to recognise the growing economic importance of Japan in the 1960s. His seminal essay "Consider Japan" (which can be read in the Norman Macrae archive) was published in September 1962, is a fascinating and powerful analysis of the Japanese economy at that time, and was an important corrective to those who still thought justin terms of Japan as a poor, developing country producing cheap counterfeit goods. The "Economist" obituary gives many other examples of Macrae's prescience and far-sightedness. The sudden jolt of recognition that Japan was about to become - as it had in the late 19th Century after the Meiji Restoration - an industrial giant (two years after "Consider Japan" the world woke up to Japan's success with the Tokyo Olympics) led directly to the British Government's trade promotion activities that I listed in my last article on the blog, the setting up in the early 1970s of the Exports to Japan Unit in the then Department of Trade, and the emphasis in this Embassy's work on trade and investment links with Japan, that lasts to this day. Do read the "Economist"'s obituary of Norman Macrae - it is a tribute to a massively influential thinker, whose impact is still felt today in the work we do here in Tokyo.
Subject: Japanese engagement Opportunity -- Technology-Women-Education-Disaster preparedness
Hello Chris- I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.
I will be in Japan for two weeks.
I believe it is good to focus on 2020 .... and Governor Koike and also Mrs. Abe with WAW! ( Women's equality etc) Given the 114th ranking of Japan with Women's Equality.. the government leadership focus on reversing the declining of the women's equality position.
But, I think it is critical to have some specific program to collaborate to meet their respective goals of their organizations.
From the Action plan of Tokyo 2020 -- page 20 for education and page 25- Smart city
If you can propose the engagement of Mr. Ma and Mr. Son to address the goal of Tokyo 2020, something tangible can be formulated
I listed some pertinent links -- possible partnership etc.
Can you put some framework together so they can understand how they can get engaged to promote the common goals of next generation leadership etc. ??
A lot of activities are in progress in Japan.. Not only at National Level.. Regional governments are pushing for Globalization. ie Union of Kansai Government http://www.kouiki-kansai.jp/

Merry Xmas 2017 and 1976!
Miko for 2 years aug 1 2018 to aug 30 2020 tokyo becomes young people's most important centre of gravity as it is responsible for designing 2019's g20 and the olympics with jack ma and softbank alumni; 2 months prior to tokyos g20 xi jinping hosts the most important summit of the 21st C - the 2nd belt road forum which leaders like antonio guterres called the start of global 2.0 when bmelt road 1 was convened May this year
back at tokyo's last olympics both prince charles and my father helped japan to have the greatest impacts on positive world trade it could have in the 1960s- thats why the emperor awarded my father the order of the rising sun with gold rays, and its why sir fazle abed and tokyo's ambassador to bangladesh spent half a day remembering my father
dad norman macrae was one of the first 20 people to win this honor

is there anyone in tokyo eg Yuriko Koike that you can arrange a meeting with for you and amy to discuss what future of education both china and japan want- because of what UN leader guterres and his eminent goals team of 15 including sachs, jack ma and sheikha moza wanting the greatest education summit new york has ever seen to be in september 2018 it would be best to find a person in tokyo who will have permission to make sure tokyo mg20 in 2019 lives up to the year jack ma spent on the chinese g20 hangzhou 2016
