Dear Friends
Pleasure to meet you yesterday at wilson centre debate on can north korea finally go well for everyone
I believe the world is still collapsing unsustainably from borders and other inequality of infrastructure from 400 years of colonial era - my father's life work at The Economist Norman Macrae : Books & Surveys at The Economist after surviving world war 2 as teenager navigating airplanes over myanmar/bangladesh involved trying to:
|
apply keynsian end poverty system designs- mapping back future of moores laws digital connectivity-my father believed paper currencies would prove poisonous- his point being they are both zero sum (whereas knowledge economy should be above that) and used by elders to require youth to bail out their mistakes eg subprime- youth in an age of moores law need to be each places positive currency - something that jack ma and bangladesh girl empowerment are achieving with http://www.bkash.com and which could have been purpose of blockchain if speculators hadn;t taken over coins (i have been to bangladesh 15 times as my fathers last project from 2008 and believe that there is a lot that half of the world women - china and south asia can now linking out of every community- if instead of big data being analysed for biog vested interests its analysed to replicate local sustainability solutions and if youth design apps valuing small enterprise networks
in particular from 1960s dad cheer on win-win models of trade between east and west which japanese engineering started both with better quality cars (being one of the first 20 people to be awarded the japan emperors highest international honor - so events in japan these next 18 months like g20 and jack ma sponsored olympics are critical to linkin) ,back from 1960 it was trains and microelectronics and which chinese diaspora then traded across ports like hk singapore, taiawan- and then invested in china
since belt road summit is not covered much in usa i went to beijing april 2017 and watched mainly on cgtn tv and will probably do so again this april
i try to log up from cgtn youtubes which national leaders are partnering china on what
i was at the aiib summit in s korea summer 2017 - very interesting that brit danny alexander is one of most trusted foreigners in the whole of beijing;'s infrastructure banking- also the daughter of aiib president is in my view the smartest youth economist i have come across and she is at LSE
one thing that i think is vital is everywhere belt road bridges borders celebrate youth culture an digital exchange
i have been to beijing 9 times and am trying to understand both educational and digital hubs creating sustainability youth exchanges across nations
can we meet so we could see if we have win-win interests and exchange contacts who may help each other
its very rough but the slide illustrates why i think belt road is one of the 5 biggest missing jobs creating curriculum
its the perspective of how does education go outside classroom get youth collaborating across borders creating jobs and becoming the sustainability generation that my fathers lifes world was about and which i feel is now breaching many tipping points especially with trump doing his best to destroy huawei and indeed open tech
sincerely chris macrae 240 316 8157 - i am also collecting a lots of potential collaboration accounts across belt road themes at these twitter lists
